Open-Xchange Version Support Commitment

Open-Xchange Versions

Open-Xchange provides different level of versions. The releases versions are:

  • New Generation: Provide new technologies
  • Major Release: Provide functional enhancements including Bug Fixes, accumulate earlier Patch Releases's/ major releases
  • Minor Release: Provide common bug fixes for all customers, accumulate previous Patch Release's
  • Patch Release: Provide fixes for severity level 1/2 tickets, for a specific Support Customer, small features, temporary until next Maintenance Release accumulative
  • Public Patch Release: Provide fixes for severity level 1/2 tickets, for all Support Customer, small features, temporary until next Maintenance Release accumulative

Support Commitment

Major Releases

A Major Release cycle will be supported 6 Months after release (FCS) of the following Major Release

Minor Release

Within a Major Release cycle support is always available to the most recent Minor Release. To provide sufficient time for the update, Open-Xchange will support two most recent Minor Release (e.g. 7.0.1 and 7.0.2) for four Weeks in parallel after release (FCS) of the most recent Minor Release.

Patch Releases

Patches are cumulative which means each Patch Release also contains all fixes from the earlier Patch Releases within a Minor Release cycle. Therefore always the latest Patch Release (public or private) will be supported.
