Um das umsetzbar zu machen gilt das innerhalb eines Major Releases nur für das jeweils letzte Minor-Release innerhalb der Major-Release-Familie. (bspw. wenn kein 7.0.3 mehr kommt, dann wird 7.0.2 noch 6 Monate nach dem Release von 7.2 supportet)Da der Support für ein Minor Release nicht am Tag des Folge-Minor-Releases eingestellt werden kann unterstützen wir maximal 2 Minor Releases aus einem Major (z.B. 7.0.1 und 7.0.2). Das ältere davon maximal 4 Wochen nach Release des Folge-Minor-Releases. (Also fällt 7.0.1 vier Wochen nach Release von 7.0.2 weg)

Open-Xchange Versions

Open-Xchange provides different level of versions. The releases versions are:

  • New Generation: Provide new technologies
  • Major Release: Provide functional enhancements including Bug Fixes, accumulate earlier Patch Releases's/ major releases
  • Minor Release: Provide common bug fixes for all customers, accumulate previous Patch Release's
  • Patch Release: Provide fixes for severity level 1/2 tickets, for a specific Support Customer, small features, temporary until next Maintenance Release accumulative
  • Public Patch Release: Provide fixes for severity level 1/2 tickets, for all Support Customer, small features, temporary until next Maintenance Release accumulative

Support Committment

Major Release

A Major Release cycle will be supported 6 Month after first customer shipment after the next shipped Major Release

Minor Release

Always the latest available Minor Release of a Major Release cycle will be official supported.
